WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE DRIVER LEADS ONE LAP COMPETITION,
COULD WIN FOR FOURTH TIME OF HIS CAREER

PUEBLO, Colo.  (May 9, 2007) - Woodhouse Performance driver Brian Smith currently leads the 2007 One Lap of America overall championship standings, after winning six events in the contest thus far and finishing in the top-three in every competition held to date.

“I have been disappointed with the bad luck I’ve had in the last few years of One Lap so I am ready to win again,” Smith said. “The competition is tough, but we are off to a great start with several wins and a large points lead, so we are going to take it easy and try to nurse a clutch that is going bad, see if we can still bring home the trophy.”

Smith is competing in a Hennessy-fielded Dodge Viper with co-driver Nick Arevalo and Kicker Car Stereo on board as sponsor, and currently sits at the top of the overall points standings, leading by 130 points. If he is successful at winning the overall 2007 One Lap competition, Smith will have accomplished winning his fourth One Lap of America Championship. Smith won the One Lap of America contests in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

One Lap of America is the ultimate racer’s challenge. Participants compete in racing events in eight different states over the course of a seven day period, one in a different state each day, and are required to drive the car they compete with to and from each event. Competitors drive through 12 different states on the competition trail, logging almost 5,000 miles, beginning and ending in Indiana. It is a competition of both endurance and speed, as drivers are required to compete every day for seven days, drive themselves thousands of miles to the events in the car they compete with, and be fast with it when they get there – not to mention find time to rest between it all. To be successful, drivers must also be versatile, as One Lap of America competitions are held on a variety of different types of racetracks: ovals, road courses, drag strips and more.

Smith pilots the No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper Competition Coupe on a partial basis for Woodhouse Performance in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series. His best finish on the season is a ninth at Sebring International Raceway in March.
