Details
A Viper 6 speed transmission has a narrow 22.5 degrees between gates making it easy to misplace a shift. Our modified shifter is in response to the numerous reports including our own experiences of misplaced shifts. Remember when that 3-4 shift found its way into second instead of fourth? It may have made your car and your mechanic incredibly unhappy. This shifter gate has increased spring loading toward the driver's side of the gate keeping the natural arm motion from pulling the shifter off of the straight rearward path. It works so effectively you will have trouble identifying the difference in shift feel.
