The #3 pad has reasonable wear and is friendly to rotors. The pad delivers consistent pedal feel when braking. Torque is relatively constant cold to hot. Coefficient of friction (mu) remains consistent up to 1200 degrees.

In English: These pads will not tear up your rotors while still retaining the ability to bring your car to an eye-popping stop. They provide good brake modulation and not that “on/off” switch feeling.  When you touch the brake the pads don’t immediately try to lock down the wheels but instead steadily work harder with pressure allowing you to get just the right amount of brake you need. These pads will are great about not changing their feel as they transition from cold to hot during a lapping session.  Since the Brake Man #3 is friendly to your rotors, it reduces your expense on rotor replacements.

The # 3 pads can be used on the street as well. They have good wear capabilities, be prepared for a modest amount of dust and minor squeal.
